He met with the Indian Jewish community in Israel on Sunday and thanked them for their many contributions to the friendship between India and Israel.
This is Jaishankar’s first visit to Israel. He thinks the Indian Jewish community in Israel will help bring the two countries even closer together. This is what he said:
“In the last four years, I’ve been to Israel three times, and this is the third time. But every time I come back, I leave with the sense that I haven’t finished my journey. This, too, is a place that takes a long time to learn about and explore. When I’m back in this place, I’m happy to be back with the people who are the umbilical cord that keeps these ties alive “Jaishankar said this to the Indian Jewish community in Israel and a group of Indologists.
