In a new show at the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art, Karen York, the museum’s director of collections and exhibitions, talks to people about how the two groups have a lot in common, like their traditions and how they live in the same places.
‘Ancient Ways: Modern Forms,’ a show of Native American art, opened on Thursday. The show will have a formal reception next Thursday, which is open to the public.
When the staff and artists from Tahlequah were talking, they came up with the idea for an art show.
“The more we talked about it, the more we found that we were like each other,” she said.
