New Delhi: Jews used to be prominent members of Indian society, serving as prominent business owners, government officials, physicians, lawyers, and academics. They now make up a tiny percentage of the population.
When it comes to the Jewish community in Delhi, there are only about ten households. Even though they have a great deal of empathy and passion for India, many of them still retain a warm spot in their hearts for the original country of Israel, which was founded in 1948.
Most people are excited about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forthcoming visit to Israel later this year, which will be the first by any Indian Prime Minister.
