Raghunath Jew temple (also known as Thakurbari) stands out among the old temples in the Kashijora Pargana for its seventeenth-century sculpture and culture. This is an ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Rama-Sita. With its ancient constructions and sculpture in its walls and columns, the temple is one of a kind. Every year on Dashera, a month-long festival dedicated to the worship of Lord Rama is held. This festival brings together people from all walks of life, castes, and cultures. This festival also aids in the development of the temple’s economy as well as that of the surrounding villages. The Ratha (Chariot) that runs on Dashera’s day is one of a kind in the entire Midnapore district. It’s made of wood and features a variety of sculptural designs. Even though there is no detailed historical record of this temple, it has been quietly preserving the culture of ancient Bengal for the past three centuries.
