CA – 13 FEBRUARY 2018 (THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.) At the California Lutheran University, an artist who was raised Jewish but attended Catholic and Zoroastrian schools in predominantly Hindu and Muslim India will share her art, lead a painting workshop, and show a documentary about her life.
The William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art on the university’s Thousand Oaks campus will host “Siona Benjamin: Blue Like Me” from Feb. 15 through April 12.
A 30-minute documentary about Benjamin and India’s Bene Israel community will be screened at 6 p.m. on March 20 at Lundring Events Center. Interviews with survivors of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and those affected by them are featured in Hal Rifken’s film. After the film, Benjamin will give a talk.
